Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)

To qualify for SSP an employee must:
- be classed as an employee having worked
- have been ill for at least 4 days in a row
Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
First 6 Wks | 90% of AWE |
33 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SMP an employee must:
- have been continuously employed for at least 26 weeks continuing into the ‘qualifying week’ – the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth
- give the correct notice and proof of pregnancy
Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP)
First 6 Wks | 90% of AWE |
33 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SAP an employee must:
- have been continuously employed for at least 26 weeks up to any day in the week they were matched with a child
- give the correct notice and proof of the adoption
Statutory Shared Parental Pay (ShPP)
Max 37 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SPP an employee must:
- have been continuously employedfor at least 26 weeks up to any day in the ‘qualifying week’
- be employed when leave is taken and give the correct notice
Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP)
2 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SPP an employee must:
- have been continuously employed for at least 26 weeks up to any day in the ‘qualifying week’
- be employed up to the date the child is born
Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay (SPBP)
2 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SPP an employee must:
- be employed up to the date the child dies or is still born and give the correct notice
Statutory Neonatal Care Pay (SNCP)
Max 12 Wks | Lesser of 90% of AWE or £187.18 |
To qualify for SPP an employee must:
- have been continuously employed for at least 26 weeks up to any day in the ‘qualifying week’
